After your 6-month course at Antares
Having just spent the last six months of your life experiencing and learning about the African bush and having hopefully succeeded at achieving a degree of competence in all the various qualifications you will probably be thinking it’s time to start guiding for real.
In life there is nothing that prepares you better for the future than gaining some experience and so we have linked up with a number of lodges who are prepared to offer you the opportunity to work in their lodge for the next six months gaining this valuable experience. How each lodge will operate will vary and the value of remuneration and board and lodging will be determined by the individual lodge mangers.
Some of you may choose to try and find employment straight away and choose not to do a placement and you are free to do that. We do however need a commitment from the students before the end of third semester as to whether they want to try for a lodge placement position.
